FRNDS X FMLY is Bangalore based collective/record label - Consolidate's monthly residency at The Humming Tree. May edition will feature sets by: _RHL / Mozzdeep and Cosmic Attic Bangalore based DJ/producer _RHL aka Rahul Giri has many avatars. He’s one half of downtempo electronic duo Sulk Station, the face behind the abstract electronic sounds of _RHL, and, as his music collective/record label Consolidate proves time and again, Bangalore’s busiest music fanatic.Apart from playing the first Boiler Room show in India, he has performed at the Liverpool Sound City Music Festival (UK), The Great Escape Festival (UK), Alchemy (UK), Magnetic Fields Festival, NH7, Indie March Festival, Ziro Festival of Music. Straddling electronica, techno, hip-hop, grime, footwork and anything in between there’s no limit to what a _RHL show can or cannot do. Mozzdeep a.k.a Anirudha Ajay is a beatmaker from Bangalore influenced by the sounds of old school video games,hip-hop,funk and electronic music. He takes elements from his influences to create beats that are soulful,heavy and nostalgic.This has lead to him releasing singles with prolific collectives and labels such as Mellow Orange, Laruche Records,Villain records.Unreleased gems and underground bangers are a staple in his DJ sets. His "No Qualms" EP released in 2015 was met with great praise from the electronic music community and has cemented his place among the upcoming generation of beatmakers in India. One can only expect to hear a variety of sounds from a plethora of genres and subgenres of bass music, hip-hop,electronic music and more at a Mozzdeep Show. Cosmic Attic is Sharath Narayan, an Experimental Electronic/Hip Hop producer/DJ, presently residing in Bangalore. You an expect lush soundscapes, sloppy drunken drummer beats, weird samples, dreamy synths, and repetitiveness. His debut EP ‘Climb’ is a reflection of where he is at, musically. Sharath is working on a new release and has been seen testing out his unreleased tracks quite often.
