All it took was a gorgeous pho bowl for this writer to deep dive into A Clay Story's collection of functional ceramics. Delhi-based Anumita Jain's brand A Clay Story is all about ceramics that you can't just help but admire, but also makes you want to buy them right then and there. We tried doing that and from our conversation with Anumita, the best way to go about is to sign up for the newsletter. We did and the catalogue for the year that hit our inbox made us wish we had a much bigger table (and a house). It's not just the catalogue mind you, her entire Instagram feed will make you want to incessantly DM her asking if any of the many wonderful pieces are available and if you can buy it.
Organic forms and glazes that are earthy, moody, and elemental are what you will love. But when it comes to picking up the pieces, even we can't help you much. Only because like us, you'd want one from each collection. Those bowls from the Misty Monsoon collection with their blue-dark glaze, and the small tumblers from Orbit, which by the way, is the very definition of "like a snug as a bug in a rug" are what we'd order.
