What Makes It Awesome

Portland Steakhouse And Cafe is our go to place for unplanned lunches when we have no time and still won't compromise on good food.

I actually don't remember my total visits to Portland, it's way too many. But I have always enjoyed their food, be it their huge Chicken Parmigiana portions, their awesome thin crust pizzas, their wonderful Bruschetta, or their delicious pastas.

As far as my most recent visit, which was today goes, I have a new favorite. This visit was a couple of months before, I tried their Linguini Pasta with Porcini mushrooms and asparagus from the Specials Menu. Loved the wonderfully cooked pasta, nicely flavored with Porcini mushrooms with a tinge of garlic and (perhaps some) olive oil, with the perfectly sautéed asparagus peeking through the pasta, adding a neon green pop and neat shavings of cheese adding to the salty flavor bursts. They must add this as a regular on their menu. The pasta needs a special mention, it was just perfect, al dente.

Quick Summary - A steakhouse with the widest range of Italian delicacies, extremely professional and courteous service, slightly pricey but absolutely worth for the kind of and quality of food they serve and also the service that you receive, set in a beautiful cafe style ambiance, thanks Portland Cafe for being so near to my office.

When I move to my new office (shortly), I'm not sure if I'll miss all the great restaurants that MG Road has to offer, I will definitely miss Portland Steakhouse & Cafe

What Could Be Better?

They should add the Linguini Pasta to their regular menu
