Nicely tucked into a small square at the spiffy UB City, Amande Patisserie is the place to go for good gourmet desserts that instantly add panache to a drab day.

Supposedly named Amande after almonds {in French}, the key ingredient in the macaron, you must go here to eat just that! The fancy, French cookie with a butter cream or ganache filling, they come crisp and delicate in conventional flavours like strawberry and vanilla to interesting ones like Belgian Dark Chocolate, French Vanilla, Rose, Chocolate and Orange and Passion Fruit. They’re nicely crafted, crunchy and crumbly sweet treats. They even have boxes that make for great gifts or even party favours. 

Apart from the Macarons they have a range of French tarts {Tarte Aux Citron – Lemon Tart is divine}, pastries, tea cakes, croissants and danishes. Don’t forget to stock up on the jams, spreads and artisan chocolates too. Plus, tea and coffee if you’re chilling at the little cafe.

What Didn’t Impress Us

To be honest, nothing. It is going to be a bit heavy on the pocket given that it is at UB City and the quality is really top-notch. Do remind yourself, that sometimes, good things do come at a price.
