Ten-second takeaway

UK brand Anatomicals makes it foray into the country through Bangalore-based e-commerce venture Upbeatz.com

Cheeky speak

They describe themselves as “Britain’s cheekiest bath and body brand that only wants you for your body” {pun intended we assure you!} and we tend to agree. With their trendy packaging in bright colours, some really witty copy {Take for instance for a Grapefruit and Mandarin Hand Soap: “It’s mean. It’s clean. It’s a germ-killing machine.”} written on it and feel-good products, Anatomicals gets full marks for super presentation that will make you want to reach out for them.

We did promise you a rose garden

We tried the coconut and mango body lotion, a luscious concoction that claims to contain mango pulp and coconut extract. The fragrance reminded us of a tropical Pina Colada and the lotion was smooth and non-sticky on application. The Apricot Face Scrub {with a fitting tagline that screams: Get Outta My Face Dirtball} did a brisk job of cleaning up of our skin, but it did leave the skin a bit too dry. Our favourite though was the Botanical Hydrating Rose Face Mask, with Provence Rose extracts, Aloe and English ivy, a soft-cloth mask ideal for a quick facial. The purified water enriched mask left us feeling s we were lounging in a bathtub in the middle of a perfumed rose garden, while in reality we were sitting at our desk and chasing deadlines.

So we’re thinking…

Trendy packaging designed to appeal to just about anyone, competitive pricing {starting at INR175 for a face mask} and some pleasing fruity and floral pairings, might make this a good choice for a daily routine.
