Regular, Bulls Eye Or Even Kheema, This Koramangala Joint Is Killing It With Its Appam Varieties

Head over to Nellai Aappakadai in Koramangala to feast on their diverse selection of crazy good appams.  Plus, their pepper chicken, and mutton pepper fry is rather good too.

All Hail The Appam Master

Nellai Aappakadai is a busy eatery tucked away in the food lane of Koramangala’s 6th Block. Nothing wow about the ambience or decor here, it’s the quick and friendly service and appams {rice hoppers} served fluffy and hot. You can even see the appam master {yes, apparently, it’s a skill that you need to master}, making multiple hoppers for the ever-hungry patrons. Oh, and lest we forget if you are a single diner, your dinner bill would be under INR 200. Meal for two would cost somewhere around INR 400.

In Appams We Trust

Appams are what this place is known for and apart from the good old plain appams, they make egg, bulls-eye, cheese, palak cheese, paneer butter, and chicken and mutton kheema varieties as well. Plenty of appams to try for one and all. The appams come in combos with our favourites being the spicy Kadala Curry, Chicken Chettinadu, and the fish curry. There’s a mutton variant as well. In case you are not ordering them combos, might we suggest the super spicy, absolutely greasy, crunchy curry leaves laden Chicken {or Mutton} Pepper Fry to go with your appams? Apart from appams, this joint is known for their kal {stone} dosas, Chettinadu flavoured meat and seafood curries, and the Jigarthanda, a popular Tamil Nadu refreshing drink that’s similar to a milkshake.

So, We Are Thinking...

It’s our go-to place when we are craving for some appams and the likes, and with the prices sitting well with us, we don’t think we’ll have any problem dining here frequently. Our only problem: parking is a nightmare outside this restaurant.
