For your fill of cafe bites and local art, head to Art Cafe at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, which is a great mix of both.

Art For The Heart

Mixing culture and quick eats, Art Cafe at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway is an art gallery and cafe. A Sheraton establishment, set up in collaboration with iArt, a Bangalore-based art gallery, this cafe is set inside a walkway that offers sweeping views of the gated community. A rather small space, as you walk into this corridor, you’re hit with a splash of colour from all the art on the wall. Featuring the work of local artists, all the art pieces on display are up for sale. And before you go ahead and think that like any other snobbish art gallery, all of these are well beyond reach, prices start at as low as INR 2,500. Making art accessible to all and providing a swish platform for local artists to feature their talent, spend hours here gawking at the many pieces on their wall.  And there’s none of that price on request nonsense as all the art here has a price tag on them.

Come evenings, the place looks lovely all lit up and you can spot it as you drive into Brigade Gateway. And make sure you catch a sighting of the tree outside where about a 100 parrots come to perch on its branches every evening {your Instagram feed is going to love this}.

Hipster Central

Letting the art take centre stage, the place is done up quite minimally with white walls, transparent chairs and bright red accents on the ceiling. Perch on one of the few tables there and order any of the small bites, sandwiches, cookies and bakes.  From Fish Fritters with Wasabi Tartar to Jalapeno And Porcini Croquettes and Chocolate Almond Cake, there’s plenty of fancy schmancy eats to pair with the art around you. And don’t forget a nice cup of tea, coffee or piping hot chocolate wash it all down with. Considering that this cafe is a part of a five-star establishment, the prices aren’t too steep, starting at just INR 120.

So head on over for a quick culture trip and a hot cuppa.
