Love For Namma Bangalore

Every City is a Story is a series of graphic novels by studio publishing house, Syenagiri which holds up a mystical magnifying glass to cities of India and shows it through different lenses. It started with the first one, Hyderabad: A Graphic Novel in 2014, and has come to Bangalore now.

In this slim 84-page book, they’ve put together about nine stories worked on by 18 Bangalore artists, including Zac ‘O Yeah, Prashant Miranda, George Supreeth, Sumit Moitra, Ramya Ramakrishnan, Harsho Mohan and other established and upcoming artists and writers.

’Tween The City Lines

You’ll find here detective stories {The Missing ATM}, a story based in Indian Coffee House {No More Coffee}, some veering into sci-fi {Banglaloids}, but all very interesting. Let us pique your interest further as there are stories titled 11th Main 9th Cross, 81, Richmond Road and The Incredible Story of Gunboat Jack. The anthology has been compiled by Jai Undurti and Praveen Vempadapu.

This novel has been available on Kindle for a while, but the physical copy is being released and is now available for sale online here and other local book stores. And nothing still compares to holding a book, does it? More so when it’s about charming Bangalore!
