What Makes It Awesome

Malgudi Southern Cuisine is an authentic South Indian restaurant serving the people of Bengaluru dishes originated from Karnataka, Tamil nadu, Kerala & Andra Pradesh. The ambience reminds you of the 80's with a homely touch & a twist of modern art. The name of the restaurant goes with the TV series, Malgudi days & has several references to the characters from it. The restaurant is placed around a village theme & has a porch swing to relax after a heavy meal. All in all, a very nostalgic place. This place is the perfect get away for family get togethers, corporate team lunches, a big group of friends, all kinds of gentry would love the place. It's easily locatable & close to major tech parks in the city.
The master mind behind the elaborative menu is a skilled chef who makes sure that every dish served brings its authenticity & leaves the foodie content. Presentation of food is very much South Indian too, considering most of them being plated on the traditional banana leaf. The food is totally money's worth since the proportions served are outright considerate & pocket friendly. It sure is a great place to get your hands on some irresistible South Indian food.
Here are few of the dishes I tried out of the everlasting menu;

Munakai soup
Lentils & drumstick cooked together with aromatic herbs
The authentic taste of south India! The soup being spicy & watery makes it light & an excellent appetiser, just like our rasam. The drumstick is fresh & tender with sweet pods in it. It's a very good introduction to the spices that follow in the meal.
