Ten-second Takeaway

Travelling within West Bangalore just got a whole lot easier with the inauguration of Phase 2.

Speeding through West Bangalore

The Hindu reports that beginning Wednesday, November 18, you can use the Metro between the Magadi Road Station and Mysore Road terminal. This should come as a relief to people who live on the western part of town, particularly since Mysore Road is particularly and perennially jam-packed.

You can expect to take between 15-20 minutes to get to the Mysore Road terminal - should you wish to, say, check out the pleasant climes of the Bangalore University Campus - from the Magadi Road Station, which is close to Rajajinagar and Majestic.

These stations form part of the Purple Line, in case you've noticed - the same line that heads eastwards to Ulsoor, Indiranagar, and Baiyappanahalli. We're still waiting patiently for the Majestic station to become operational, which is when we can interchange lines.

But hey, baby steps, right?

Where: Magadi Road Metro Station, Magadi Road, Binnipete onwards.
