    What Is It?

    Bangalore’s World-Famous Semi-Deluxe Writing Course is a 12-week dual writing course, and is designed and curated to equip you with the understanding and the skills needed to master both fiction and non-fiction writing. With classes every weekend and assignments in between, learn all the tricks of the trade and how to write with impact.

    Who Is It For?

    For all those who want to discover the joys of writing and hone their skills. The Bangalore Semi Deluxe Writing Course is a great opportunity to try your hand at writing for various genres such as short stories, thrillers, travelogues, children’s literature, writing for film and television and copywriting among other areas and find your niche. There’s an application process for this course where you will be required to submit an 800-word long essay titled Who Am I?  The essays which prove their author’s willingness to learn and their talent to write will bag one of the 30 coveted spots on this program.     Why Should I Go For It?

    You will be interacting with the who’s who of the writing world and learning from the best in the business. Under the guidance of authors such as Anjum Hasan {remember Neti Neti and The Cosmopolitans} on fiction and poetry, Swedish author Zac O’Yeah {Mr Majestic- The Tout Of Bangalore} on thriller writing and travelogues, Eshwar Sundaresan on literary concepts and business writing, develop a nuanced understanding of writing for different areas and genres. The faculty will also include a war correspondent, the former chairman of an ad agency, renowned writers of children’s books, a premiere Kannada-to-English translator, one of India’s best reviewers, and a leading literary agent amongst others. So expect this workshop to cover a lot of ground in three months. And the classes are only on weekends from 10.30am to 1pm. By the end of three months, hopefully you’d have razor sharp literary skills and a deeper love for writing.
