What is it

With a lot of people around adopting a cruelty-free vegan lifestyle, you’re bound to have considered it at least once. Building on the annual vegan festivals in India, Wilderfest is Bangalore’s first ever edition. Ditch those YouTube searches and videos that are painful to watch, and find out everything you ever wanted to know about veganism at this two-day event, hosted by five vegans from the city, determined to work towards a green future full of love and compassion. From live vegan food stalls, exciting performances and workshops, Wilderfest has it all!

Who Is It For

If you’re someone who swears by veganism and would love to meet people who share your passion from Bangalore’s growing vegan community, or someone who is curious about this lifestyle and considering adopting it, this is the place to be! This could also be a fun weekend for those interested in experimenting with offbeat food and are looking for something to do on the last weekend of May. It is also a great opportunity for brands and young businesses to cater to the growing demands for plant-based products. All you meat-eaters, be openminded. This might just get you to change your views.

Why Should I Go For It

A live concert by musician, Monica Dogra is enough reason to be excited for it. Just FYI, she is vegan too! But if you need more, here you go. There will be plenty of live food stalls with vegan stuff such as mock meat, nut butter and vegan ice-creams. To cater to the shopaholic in you, there will also be a flea market with vegan food products, clothing, cosmetics and accessories. Plus, several workshops on vegan cooking, baking, and daily alternatives, inspiring talks that cover many aspects of veganism from health and fitness to ethics and activism, and feature screenings of top vegan documentaries.

When: May 26 and 27

Where: VR Bengaluru, Whitefield

Timings: 11am – 9pm
