What Makes It Awesome
Located on the second floor of Mantri Mall in Malleswaram, Bargain Book Hut is part of a nationwide chain. Their speciality? Your latest bestsellers at bargain prices. While all-time favourites like Blossom, offer a wide variety of second-hand books with heavy discounts, the Bargain Book Hut is all about selling brand new books at lower prices. The smallest discount is 10 per cent {and that’s pretty good, isn’t it?}. And you can find books penned by everyone from Twinkle Khanna to George R. R. Martin slotted in this category.
From there on, the discounts only get steeper. A glitzy book on Star Wars with an MRP of 8,750 was being sold at INR 4,995. The popular Dork Diaries box too came with a whopping discount. We also loved their classics section — where each leather bound book was going for just INR 250 and if you buy two, you get the third for free. Nothing like gorgeous old books, right?
Another great find at the store were their art prints. They have quality reprints from Monet, Gauguin, and other greats. The original price is about INR 1,250 and the store has brought it down to a mere INR 499.
