When your favourite pet family member needs a getaway, Beans and Blossom, a homestay in Coorg, is ready to welcome your pooch along with you, round the year.
The Beans Blossoms homestay in Coorg offers a fairy tale setting with three bedrooms, simple wooden furniture, patio spaces and bamboo blinds. The property also has adjoining, private cottages, if you are looking for a bit of solace. The rooms are basic, with comfortable amenities, and a very homely feel, with your own balcony. We love that there are no extra charges for your pet, as all the accommodation is pet friendly and they can hang out with you in your room. The staff can make authentic Coorg cuisine, like their famous pandi curry with kadambutte {rice dumpling} on request, or you also have the choice of South Indian or North Indian food depending on which side of the world your loyalties lie. As for your puppy, the staff are happy to cook homemade delights for them too, be it meat, rice or anything else.

Me And You, And A Dog Named Boo

Now there is something you and your pet can look forward to when you wake up, walking through acres of coffee plantations. We are talking 10 acres of lush green plantations and a crisp forest air to enjoy. Your host would be happy to take you through the plantations for a spice tour and showcase how coffee is brewed. While there are no specific activities set out for your pets, we are not complaining, as there is much for them to explore at their leisure. Try to time your visit with the berry picking season, this is where the plantation comes to life and you can see the coffee estate in the midst of brisk business. Even if you decide to wander about on your own, you and your pooch are bound to come across pretty settlements of paddy fields, viewpoints and  trekking paths.
The place is located bang in the middle of nature in the Kodagu region and is a good half-hour drive from the town of Madikeri. To soak in the local culture, visit Nalknad Palace, a rich piece of Kodagu history. The palace grounds are by scenic  foothills. A place that is also quiet a drive, but worth a visit is Talacauvery. A scenic place with breathtaking views with beautiful and heritage temples that pay ode to the birthplace of the river Cauvery.
