What Makes It Awesome
Back when French cosmetic chain of stores Sephora opened, we didn’t know the furore it would create on its launch day, with snaking queues, overcrowded make up counters and general mayhem, but with three stores in town (Mahadevpura, Koramangala and Rajajinagar), they've got everything you need when it comes to makeup, skincare and accessories (for make up) for the ladies. They also have a separate smaller section (aftershaves, balms, salve, lotions and more) for men because the beauty industry doesn't discriminate as much as it used to.
As you know Sephora’s makeup range is arranged according to lips, eyes, cheeks, nails and face. Lip glosses, lipsticks, lip liners jostle for space with shimmery eye shadow, brightening face primers and Sephora’s bestseller the Smart eyeliner (apparently one that generates a mistake-proof application thanks to the curved shape of the pen). Not sure about how a product looks? Try it out or get one of the resident make up experts to give you a complete makeover at one of the many mirrored makeup counters.
We are also stoked that Sephora stocks exclusive brands which they’ve brought to India such as a Make Up For Ever (known for their face primers and foundations), Benefit (their lip and cheek tints, pore minimisers, and their range of They’re Real Push Up Liner), and Stila (for its eye liners, foundations and primers, and lip stains). Plus, trusty brands such as Burt’s Bees for creams, lotions and body oils (mommies and babies included), Percy & Reed for hair care products, Sephora’s own range of bath and body selection called Bath, and a similar one from Soap and Glory. Not feeling experimental? Pick from tried and tested brands like Dior, Lancome, Estee Lauder and Givenchy. Don’t have too much cash to dispense, then go for Sephora’s range of fruity, gel face masks (the Pearl mask is a winner apparently), or pick up from their range of mini perfumes, bath fizzing cubes or even their make up wipes.
