For this four-day Bengali buffet, DoubleTree Suites By Hilton has flown down a proper Bangali thakur {aka maharaj or cook} who has collaborated with Chef Anurag to create an extensive menu. For day one, the kitchen will create the niramish {vegetarian} and amish {non vegetarian} dishes made from traditional family recipes sourced from Rajbaris {royal families} of Bengal. The buffet spread will include everything from Beguni to Dhokar Dalna and Shahi Murgi to Mishti Pulao.
Day two will be Bagbajar Ba Madox {two very iconic Durga pujas in Kolkata}. This will be a North versus South Calcutta culinary face off with Manghser Chop, Dimer Devil, Golbarir Kosha Manghso, Kahsmiri Dum Aloo and Phulkopir Roast. Nobomi will see Calcutta- 700016, which means we are back on Park Street guys and you can tuck into Chelo Kebabs from Peter Cat, Fish Orly with Tartar sauce from Kwality, rolls from Kusum and more. And on Dashami, we will say goodbye to Ma Durga with Experience Opar Bangla, where there will be dishes included from the time when Bengal was undivided. Expect dishes such as Macher Paturi, Lau Ghonto, Tehari Pulao and more.
