You know why Santa has a big tummy? Because he eats plenty during the season. And we encourage that too! After all, ‘tis the season to be jolly’ and festive also means feastive (no, that is not an actual word). With Christmas only a week away, restaurants across the city are pulling out all the stops to give you Christmas lunch menus and some Christmas eve ones too, that will make even old Santa jealous. From traditional meals and turkey salads to a South Indian take on Christmas and bacon-wrapped meatloaf, let the feasting begin!
'Tis The Season To Eat: Best Restaurants To Tuck Into Grand Christmas Feasts
The Permit Room
TPR has rolled out a whole new menu that in quintessential TPR style switches up classics into something festive. From Boozy Buns, divine Mutton Cutlets, and Jumbo Poached Prawns to Butter Roast Chicken (OK, we have to try this! If it's like their previous year's Butter Curry Roast Chicken which is slow-roasted and brined chicken with roast gravy, we might take plenty home to freeze for all of 2021!), Toddy Shop Kappa Meen Curry, and sinfully boozy (thankfully) plum pudding, it's a Christmas feast for the whole family. Yup, Tatha and Paati to who may disapprove of the otherwise traditional (Colonial) Christmas Lunch! TPR also has season special beverages on the menu like Mulled Wine and Rose Plum Rum.
