I’m all for trying out these brands, and I did. So, here’s a list of top Indian brands making shoes that are worth a spot in your shoe closet.     A top favourite for me, Monrow Shoes have been crafted for the Indian foot, so you know you can trust these ones! Making them funky, jazzy or as plain as you like, this brand is for you to channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw. With prices ranging from INR 1,500 for open flats to sneakers for about INR 3,200, it’s got plenty of options to suit your budget. They’re comfortable, have that height to boost confidence a bit.     I love this brand for a few reasons, but the top one is they have a fab collection of denim shoes. Yup, denim indeed. From strappy ones to mules and sexy wrap around ones to pencil heels. You can also pick from their fun denim pumps or even the classy flats. The denims, like jeans, come in black, blues - light, dark, mid-blue, fringe and more. Of course, if denim isn’t your thing, turn your focus to the suede stuff, the animal prints, the jazzy silver and sneakers too. But really, please don’t ignore the denim collection. PLEASE!

    Oh I love me some boots, and Zebba does them well. Basically, this brand gets comfort, class and trend all on point. They even have chic slip-on flats that are ideal for jeans as they are for kurtas. I also love that they have a whole lot of vegan loafers, brogues and more to pick from. Plus, graphic printed slides, woven block heels, and the odd pair of strappy wedge-heeled pairs. This brand doesn’t shy away from colour - red, pink, neon, mint, wine, yellow - and you shouldn't too! While we wouldn't say they're the most affordable, they're usually long-lasting, and all have an ethnic touch. The Delhi-based brand is all about handcrafting footwear (and clothing) that is authentic and affordable for the quality you get.

    If you’re looking for PLENTY of options, Sole House is for you. A great alternative to mass produced shoes off the high street, these hand crafted shoes have intricate embroidery and come in the form of mules, kolhapuris, loafers and wedge heels. Colours range from dull gold, peach and cream to rani pink, bright red and cobalt blue. What is also fantastic about this brand is they block heels meaning they're super comfortable. Add to that the fact that they're hand embroidered and the style factor goes higher. Yup, block heels that don’t belong in 1975!

    TheCAI Store, an influencer-favourite since 2015, and with good reason, is all about comfort and conscious fashion. The range is demure, work-friendly and dinner-date friendly. We love that the designs are feminine and completely handmade to ensure durability. They now do boots (those solid army style ones!) and kitten heels as well. Mostly thanks to the collaboration with celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor. The new collection is more androgenous and ideal for work and play.

Their shoes are quirky, cute and super comfortable and I love the whimsical feeling some of them have, like they're straight out of a fairytale. Besides, apart from the juttis they're so well known for, they've also got slip ons, brogues and loafers...in a somewhat jutti-style!

With embroidery, embellishments or Aztec prints, we’re eyeing all the juttis. How often do you come across a brand that blends old-school technique with modern-day fashion! They now also have gorgeous mules - solid colours, those with cute bears on them, and even a pair dedicated to the wildlife in Nairobi! Oh, for block heels, check out their embellished ones!

    Founded by Deepali Khanna in 2018, with Italy as inspiration and style with comfort as the goal, Inochhi has everything from mules and espadrilles to block heels and embellished flats. There's plenty of nudes and metallic shoes, which make them versatile for whatever colour your outfit is. But for that added style, embellishments, embroidery, and tassels are used. An LBB Crew Member vouches for the shoes being made of good quality leather, quick delivery and that the shoes are well made. So, this one's fully tried and tested. Check out their Travel Collection which has slip-ons with woven, metallic leather, making it easy to wear on a tour and then to a fancy dinner spot later.
