Nikita, her mother-in-law, Jaya (the official recipe master) and sister-in-law, Tara -- quite the tasty trio spearhead this lovely home-run enterprise that exists entirely because of their gorgeous family orchard! They handpick the freshest of seasonal fruit, many lesser known and found, like Quince, Apricot, Peach, Plums and Cherries to bottle them into the tastiest jams, jellies and preserves within 24 hours of picking. Their preserves come as whole fruits so enjoy whole peaches, strawberries or cherries with waffles, toast or topped on cakes. While the jellies -- quince and apple and jams -- plum, apricot and apple can be enjoyed straight from the bottle, with yoghurt or cheese, or anyway you'd like really.
Make sure this is done in moderation of course, because Big Bear doesn't believe in messing with the OG way of doing things and subbing it to be sugar-free or heavily flavoured. Their philosophy is to celebrate the fruit and its flavour without any dilutions. Every bottle is best described as an indulgence perfectly capturing the pleasures of the mountains, even in its packaging!
