The Rooftop Adda
It’s not that Koramangala desperately needed a hangout spot, but ever since Games Khopcha shut down, there’s a gap that needs to be filled. And filling that gap is the rooftop hangout spot The Green Room. Located just opposite one of our favourite beer addas, The Local, it’s a short flight of stairs that lead you to this spot that’s perfect for after-work scenes with the work folk or your squad during weekends. Three tables of varying sizes — one for American pool {which is the biggest of the lot}, one for French, and one for English pool — dominate the space, while a couple of seating options on one side, a PlayStation corner with a two-seater sofa and bean bags complete the space.
If you are going post 7 pm, you are likely to find all the tables occupied, so calls dibs on the PlayStation. Don’t go expecting a rich collection of games, but hey, they have chosen well with multiplayer titles such as Tekken 7 {which we spent hours playing}, FIFA 16, and Need For Speed Rivals. Far Cry 4, The Last Of Us Remastered, Battlefield 4, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection are for those who don’t mind spending hours of role-playing. We are pretty good at Tekken and FIFA, so feel free to call us if you need a buddy to play with.
Double Hit
If you are going to be spending hours here, which you are most likely to, chances are that you’re going to get hungry. Luckily for you, while your friend is waiting for the perfect angle to pocket a stripe, you can order yourself a couple of sandwiches and shakes like Vanilla or Oreo. Yes, the little kitchen of The Green Room serves coffee, tea, mocktails, shakes, sandwiches, French toast, and eggy options of omelettes and scrambled egg. Don’t go expecting cafe level finesse or presentation. Just simple grub to keep your tummy full during your intense gaming sessions. Prices start at INR 40 with sandwiches costing you INR 120 tops, so hey, pocket-friendly too. In fact, the whole space is pocket-friendly with hourly costs starting at INR 120.
#LBBTip
Since the tables can get crowded we suggest calling in advance and booking yourself a slot just in case.
