Puttenahalli Lake is one among the few surviving lakes in Bangalore, and definitely worth the visit. It is beautiful, green, serene and everything that a lake should be. A huge lake with a walking path along the periphery makes this place ideal for all the walkers in the area.
Whether you go in the early morning hours or evening hours the walking path is convenient and makes for a good walk. The water body is home to a numerous number of ducks of various kinds. There are also a number of birds that visit the lake and greenery around that makes it a great spot for bird watchers and photographers.
There is enough seating area, so this can be a great place for an outing with the family as well. The dogs in the lake are many and quite friendly as well.
There is parking more suited for two-wheelers available near the entrance. If you are in the area, visiting the JP Nagar forest you should definitely visit this lake located near Brigade Millenium.
A great lake, that I am glad has survived.
