Ten-Second Takeaway

The Bombay Shirt Company brings crisp formals for men or women who are particular about the details — customise your shirt the way you like.

Time To Suit Up

Now that Bombay Shirt Company’s opened up in Bangalore, you can stop looking for that elusive shirt with that perfect fit. On offer are a variety of basic ready-made shirts if you want to shop and dash. But their customised apparel is what we’re loving them for. From fabrics in plaid, stripes, funky patterns with coloured splashes, minimal prints and even not-so-minimal ones for those non-work related occasions, the options are many. You can decide what collar you like, the pocket you want, the detailing on the cuffs and plackets, the pleats on your shirt and even the entire fit of your shirt. You can make it look funky with quirky contrasting buttons or vintage with an old-school French front placket — you can really make your shirt look exactly the way you imagine it. That said, the options for women aren’t as many as for men, although women can totally choose from what’s on offer for men, but we would’ve really liked some more specifically for the ladies.

Touch And Feel

The store believes in getting down to brass tacks with minimal furniture, large empty spaces and warm yellow lights. The ready-made shirts available for men and can be bought on-spot if you fit into the regular sizes. Otherwise, you could get it altered to your measurement and pick it up. But the real way to do this is go to the store, see their samples to get an idea of what you can do with your shirt, and customise it the way you like. See it, touch it, feel it and then make a call.

Customised Convenience

If visiting the store is inconvenient, you can book an appointment and someone from the store will come over to your place with the entire portfolio of designs, measure you up and take your order. Alternatively, you could send a sample to them or just your measurements and place an online order.
