Books Beka is a website that lets you clear out your bookshelves and sell your old textbooks or buy study material at cheaper rates on their online platform. And you can donate books to their NGO too.

The Cost Of Learning

We all know about that pile. That pile of textbooks that have just been gathering dust on your desk that you still have from school or college. If you haven’t gotten around to getting rid of them, then consider selling your academic material on Books Beka, a website where you can buy and sell used textbooks. At the moment, Books Beka only accepts engineering textbooks that are still valid for the current academic year. They have a team that will check the validity of your textbooks, and if it passes the test you’ll get 40 per cent of its MRP for the book. Get in touch with them on Facebook here. Books Beka is also a great place to pick up study material from at discounted rates. You can find books on commerce, management, medical sciences, economics, sociology and pre-university textbooks. They also have textbooks that’ll help you prepare for a host of entrance examinations like CAT and GATE. Get used textbooks at 30 per cent off and recycle too. Two birds with one stone, we think. Check out their inventory here.

Do Your Bit

If you have books that are no longer valid in current academic circles, you can donate them to Books Beka’s parent concern, Ramose Foundation, which is an NGO that works towards helping students of rural Karnataka get access to better study material. Put your old textbooks to good use by brightening the future of another student. Currently, the Ramose Foundation works with 14 rural districts of Karnataka, and even help out students with career counselling. So do your bit and breathe new life into the old textbooks that you’re done with.
