Lowdown On The Ambience
It’s a small 20-seater self-service cafe with smooth blue and white decor. We fell in love with a hashtag frame on the wall that had cups with emoji faces on them {those aren’t for sale, we asked}. They also have framed posters of quotes about food on most of the walls.
Penne For Your Thoughts
We started with the deceivingly simple Cheese Balls but were pleasantly surprised with what we got — perfectly crisp orbs of mozzarella dusted with chaat masala. Mmm. We then tried two types of pasta {because, why not?} and they were both big on taste as well as quantity. The Penne Aglio Olio Pepperocino was fresh and had a really nice garlic undertone, and the Cheesy White Sauce Spaghetti was just as advertised — delectably cheesy. They were both served with toasted garlic bread.
Just out of curiosity, we tried the Schezwan Maggi, which was just basically Schezwan sauce over regular masala Maggi, but something I would have totally gone for if I wanted a budget eat after college. The chocolate tea was served in a cute kettle and was worth a shot.
So, We’re Thinking…
I think it’s about time I mentioned that this was a vegetarian place, with a few egg-ceptions {geddit?}, so don’t be taken aback if you start looking for some chicken and don’t find anything, like I was. But they do vegetarian food and they do it really well.
