Truffles is a name that has been synonymous with great cafes not only on BEL Road, but all around the city. It is always flooded with college crowds, office goers, children and families too! Their burgers and shakes set them apart from other cafes and they have some pretty good desserts as well. Located on 80 Feet Road, the two-level cafe is well lit and cosy inside. Sit down and order a Chicken Steak Burger served with potato wafers instead of fries along with a Ferrero Rocher shake and for dessert, the Apple Pie and the Mud Pie are must-haves.

Located next to the Peppermill Bistro, Kargeens is a place cherished by BEL Road’s old guard as well as new. People flock here for hookah, milkshakes and some grub too. They have an extensive sheesha menu and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, are operating with an updated food menu. It almost makes you want to say, “it’s grown up”, because from what it was to what it is now, Kargeens is here to stay. The brick walls and an open seating space make the place a sought after chillout spot on New BEL Road.

The BEL St. Cafe
THE BEL ST. Cafe is another cosy little spot where you can come on a quiet evening for a cuppa and a quick snack. They even have options for a larger meal combo and you can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There’s even their in-house ice creams if you crave their icy delights. They also sell finger food, burgers, pizza and combo meals too, for those saving their pockets. The cafe is a quiet and quaint place, which isn’t really much of a happening place in terms of crowd, but is good for a quiet hangout.

Cafe Rossini is located close to Truffles and is an Italian cafe that is just ideal for an afternoon meal with a friend or even a quiet date. Along with Italian cuisine that it mainly serves, there are also some Chinese and Continental options on the menu. They are supplemented by coffees, teas and coolers that make for an all-round evening coffee pitstop in the glorious Bangalore weather. The interiors make it seem like a fine dining restaurant but the menu makes it look like a cafe, so you’re in a spot where the ambience is comforting and you don’t pay much for the food either.
