Fancy a walk in the clouds surrounded by the undeniable beauty of the Western Ghats? Then, the gorgeous Canopy Walk near Castle Rock needs to be on your travel bucket list.

What Makes It Awesome

A joint project by the State’s tourism and forest departments, the Kuveshi Canopy, that sits near the Karnataka-Goa border, has created a buzz among wildlife and nature enthusiasts. If you are planning to hit up Dandeli or Dudhsagar or even South Goa, don’t miss this experience! Said to be India’s first canopy walk, the Kuveshi canopy is about 30 feet high and around 240 meters long. On your trip here, you can accompany ten other people (that’s the maximum for a single trip) and explore the lush greenery of the Western Ghats.

The canopy presents you with an excellent opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of one of the country’s best known tropical rainforests. You’ll be enveloped by towering Malabar Tamarinds, Silver Oaks, Eucalyptuses, bamboos, and teak wood trees. The treetops are also abundant with avian life and creatures of the forest. You can spot species like the Malabar squirrels, lion-tailed macaque, white-bellied treepie, hornbills, woodpeckers and butterflies.

Pro-Tip

Located close to Dandeli, you can head there for some water sports and adventures if you don't want the canopy to be the only place you want to visit on the trip.
