Named after the former British civil servant, Johnson Market was established in 1929. This market is on Hosur road right after CMP junction around Masjid -E - Aksari.
The market is filled with vegetable and meat shops. It particularly has an old world charm to it though I can't vouch for the cleanliness of the place. The vendors are pretty friendly and well-read, they'll even guide you through the place if you're visiting for the first time and make sure you get a good deal.
After buying groceries, we headed to Fanoos for dinner, the ever so bustling place diagonally opposite to Tom's restaurant. We ordered their special beef and mutton kebabs, beef and chicken shawarma, regular and jumbo respectively {that's how the sizes are named}, pork chops, and a bottle of coke. All of this at INR 545 only. It's a complete value for money.
They do have a lot of variety on their menu. So if you are planning to visit this eatery, reach a little early, have the chai, samosa, and the kova naan at the Makkah Cafe as well.
