"As you grow older, your body produces less of the proteins needed for your skin to look it’s absolute best." It's the truth! You cannot deny it! But we did catch up with Dr Kiran Sethi, a celebrity skin, aesthetic and wellness specialist who not only has written for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar but has also featured in shows like Band Baaja Bride and Get the Look. During the launch of her new book, Skin Sense, we caught up with her for all the details on how to deal with ageing skin after you hit the big thee-oh!

She told us basically what the troubles are and why they occur, and in short, you see the skin dulling, drying and perhaps even sagging mostly because of dead skin build up, decreased elastin and collagen levels and to some level exposure to the sun that caused pigmentation. And while you may get more insensitive with age and maturity, your skin does the opposite! Fear not however, here are a few products and ingredients she recommends so that your skin looks as young as you feel...18 eternally!

LBB Tip: Please note, these are all recommendations and should not be treated as a prescription. We suggest you consult your dermatologist before using these products.

Vitamins For The Skin: iS Clinical Poly-Vitamin Serum

"I love iS Clinical Poly-Vitamin Serum for all the vitamins my skin needs including Niacinamide, D-Panthenol and more," Dr Sethi tells us. And picks the iS Clinical Poly-Vitamin Serum as it is great for all skin types. It contains essential vitamins, bionutrients and anti-oxidants.

For Collagen Production: Topical Adapalene

I use Topical Adapalene as my Retinoid as it is gentler than Tretinoin but stronger than Retinol. It's great for collagen-boosting which helps tighten and hydrate the skin.

LBB Picks: This one from Sebamed, and this one from Re'equil

Skin Brightner: iS Clinical Super Serum Advance

For this, I recommend iS Clinical Super Serum Advance. It brightens the skin without damaging, as it's packed with Vitamin C and alpha-arbutin which activates Melanocytes that control melanin production. That in turn helps with pigmentation.

To Help Dry Skin: Fillerna Creams

Try Fillerina Day Cream and Fillerina Night Cream for heavy moisturising, suppleness and collagen boosting. These are great when the skin is extra dry or needs a boost.

Sun Protection

Sunblock, sunblock, sunblock! It is really important! I use Clinical Eclipse when my skin is dry. When oily, I use Z Screen sunblock and Heliocare Mineral Fluid when normal.

Face Washes

Numis Med

Face washes really depends on your skin type. And I use different ones depending on my skin at the time. If it needs hydration then Numis Med Urea Face and Body Wash or iS Clinical Cream Cleanser. If my skin is oily then Exfoliac Gel Moussant or iS Clinical Cleansing Complex.
