Ten-second takeaway
Add a splash of colour to your Sunday with the latest edition of the popular art mela, Chitra Santhe.
Art, art everywhere
Ahoy there art lovers in the city! The annual art fair, Chitra Santhe, is back in town with its 13th edition {just when we thought the weekend couldn't get any better}! Hosted by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, the fest promises to keep you browsing through art in different forms, from paintings and sculptures to on-the-spot portrait sketches even. With Karnataka Folk Art as this year's theme of decoration, you can look forward to life-sized animal models, leather puppets, traditional paintings and much more.
Different canvas
While there, you can happily hoard up on paintings and art pieces {without breaking the bank, of course}, as the santhe will have around 1,000 stalls lining the entire stretch of Kumara Krupa Road. All the displayed works will be by artists from different parts of the state. With talks, workshops and exhibitions in the Chitrakala Parishath as well, this one's going to be a haven for the artsy folks out there. And if you're not the most arty, we still urge you to wander down the street for the sheer colour and drama which surrounds the event. We suggest you block your first Sunday of the new year right away.
