What's Happening

Get ready to treat yourself to some retail therapy at the latest edition of Chittara, a 10-day long shopping festival at Chitrakala Parishath. Whether you’re looking to amp up your home decor with brass idols, bed linen, wooden knick knacks (think Channapatna toys), handcrafted mud products or antiques, you’ll find no dearth of options to choose from.

Don't forget to check out the range of exotic artwork that’s so characteristic of Chittara. Our favourites include Tanjore paintings (popular during the 16th to 18th centuries) and traditional Pattachitra art from Odisha, besides art from other parts of India. It goes without saying that you’ll find your favourite handloom sarees, kurtas and shawls here. Plus, you’ll get your fill of handmade jewellery and fashion accessories like clutches, potlis and stoles as well! We don’t know about you, but we’re all set to go to the event to ramp up on our indie style!
