If you thought Church Street couldn’t get any more happening, we’ve got news for you. Adding to the buzz of the hood is Chugg, an all-new gastropub. Apart from the regular selection of tipple, they also have cocktails that include classics like Whiskey Sour as well as signature concoctions such as Chugg Up {spiced rum, coffee liqueur and cream}. On the food front, their menu includes a little of everything, from salads and pub grub {think cheesy fries and chicken wings} to Thai dishes, burgers and pasta. Want something closer home? Their Chikmagalur Pork Pepper Dry with Akki Roti or Pandi Curry looks promising.

Steering clear of fancy or over-the-top decor, the folks here claim to keep it simple, with bright colours lending it a fun vibe and laidback ambience. They even have a view to offer, apparently. While you’re there, check out the Chugg monsters {their mascots of sorts}, featured in the menu and in the artworks on the walls. Much to our delight, they’ll also be hosting regular drinking games, activities and gigs very soon.
