Bangalore was the first destination to get a Social, and after four years of ruling the nightlife scenes, they’ve done a total revamp, and we’re giving you a sneak peek!
A Brand New Version Of Church Street Social Is Opening And You Will Love It!
Shortcut
Version 2.0
We got a sneak peek into Church Street Social 2.0, and we’re in love. Not only does it look chic and classy, but it’s like it’s a whole new space. None of that touch up and pretend relaunch. This is a full-fledged revamp, y’all. And all of you who thought it’s for teeny boppers, think again. With a new focus on work by day, and play by night, this is a hub for all things art, design, innovation and essentially all things cool.
There’s a new thinking space, a lounging room to gather your thoughts before the big presentation, a meeting point to interview folks for that next role (or fire them!), as well as a super spot to just find that next co-conspirator for a whole new venture. Hey, they don’t call Bangalore the city of start-ups for nothing. In fact, even Social started up right in this spot. So maybe big things for you too when you start working out of there! Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to #SocialWorks.
Currently, they’re offering the co-working space for INR 500 a day, or INR 1,500 a week or INR 5,000 per month. This also earns you credits that you can redeem on food and drinks when there. Plus, mentorship programmes, services to help run a business and associations with other existing businesses for that boost. Want to check it out? Head here for a free trial on Thursday by RSVPing here NOW.
Creative State Of Mind
We are calling dibs on the big red dot on the wall which doubles up as a seat, as our work spot and Instagram spot. One thing stays the same though, this will remain a melting pot of creative individuals, entrepreneurs and free-thinkers, so if you’re writer, photographer, web developer, musician or dreamer who wants a space to work out of, this is it! And when we tell you it’s been designed by Lekha Washington, who’s even designed for The Burning Man festival, then you will be all the more excited. Expect frequent exhibitions, a bar that doubles up as a library, and an art gallery.
The whole space really is an art gallery featuring installations by artists such as Shilo Shiv Suleman, Siddhartha Karawal, Laila Vaziralli and Lekha too. These installations range from the mythic to the modern – a spectacular dervish dancer piece hung from the roof, a larger than life, 10-foot dot chair (that is the one we’re bagging!), sound reactive neo-pixel installations and even carnivorous plant pieces!
Drink For Thought
With a whole new place, naturally a whole new menu is in order. We cannot wait to check out the innovative new drinks and food this place has to offer. But beware, the new menu is only on for a month after which you can fight for your favourite to stay on. If you don’t make your voice heard, in defence of a new dish, then you can say goodbye to it.
Opens Friday, June 15, 9am onwards.
