Expect a whacky, deconstructed take on classic and hearty dishes from Church Street Social’s new menu. The tradition of punning on dish names continues in the same vein.
Church Street Social's New Menu Continues on its Fun Dining Theme
Shortcut
Breaking bread
Start your day with new breakfast additions such as Dhingra’s Breakfast Tray including parathas, samosas and choke or Iroon Junglee Poro, an Iranian omelette served with brun pao. There’s also Andaaz Apna Apna, Social’s take on eggs on toast.
The pecking order
Tacos stuffed with tikkas, Parsi Style Fried Chicken Farchas, Pork Belly Pops and Goan sausages should keep you from feeling peckish, while their Pear, Beetroot and Chèvre Salad, Chinese Bhel or their Whose Your Papaya Salad should keep the vegetarians happy. Specials include an entire section devoted to Mumbai-style Ladi Paos – topped with Cheese Masala to Lal Maas. Curried Vegetable Pie, Gidwani’s Sindhi Kadhi and Street style Malay Laksa Curry are other highlights. The Gadbad Shetty is the eatery’s tribute to the famous Mangalorean ice cream sundae called Gadbad and Kassa Kay Cassata dishes out nostalgia in the form of a vanilla, chocolate and tutu-fruity ice cream served on toast.
