Built in 1865, Milton Abbott is tucked away from the touristy and crowded spots of Ooty, making it a serene and rather private estate for the entire family. An incomparable old world charm, brought on by the heritage of the property is what strikes you first when you check in. The main house, restored to its former glory, with subsequent suit-room accommodations, living room, and the dining room, transports you to the colonial era where luxury was exuberant and classy. Solid wooden furniture, four-poster beds, fireplaces, and a grand dining table add to the old world charms of the place.

The bungalow has quite a lot of things for you and your family to day. You can take a stroll through the surrounding woods, cosy up in front of the fireplace or sit down for a homecooked feast in the grand dining room. A bon fire is lit out in the garden on request as well — roasted marshmallows, anyone? If you are stepping out of the property to explore the township, the Ooty Golf Course and Ooty Lake are nearby. Booking Yourself In

The bungalow houses four suites {six bedrooms} with an option for you to either book just a bedroom or an entire suite. The four suites are divided into A, B, C, and D, with Suite A to C available for INR 12,000 while Suite D can be booked for just INR 7,000. A single bedroom is also priced at INR 7,000. Suites A to C come with two bedrooms; one with King-size poster bed and other with Queen-size bed, while Suite D comes with a single bedroom with a queen size bed. Attached bathrooms are available in all suites.
