Colour Me Mad is saying ta-ta to boring old sandals and slippers with their range of colourful cork slippers that are supposedly good for your feet too.

    Happy Feet

Skip past boring blacks and beiges and paint the town red with the fun and colourful footwear from indie brand Colour Me Mad. The Mumbai-based enterprise was started not too long ago by Trishla Surana, who wanted to shake things up a little in the shoe game. Apart from being quirky in design, these shoes are made with cork, which is apparently good for your posture and comfier too. Plus, the all-natural material is a nod to Mother Earth and sustainable living. From flip-flops to comfy sandals, there’s plenty to choose from in their online store that ships their products all over the country.

We thought a comfy pair of heels were an oxymoron up until we spotted their stylish wedges. Available in monochromatic and floral designs, you can have a chic pair of heels that don’t give you back problems and ankle pain. How’s that for a win-win situation? Their flip-flops are another hot favourite and come in fun and functional designs too. And they play with a lot of patterns on the straps, from checkered prints to more abstract designs.

    Comfort Zone

Giving Birkenstocks a run for their money, the brand aims to be synonymous with comfortable footwear. Each pair of shoes is handcrafted giving comfort the highest priority. And that’s why cork is the material of choice, as it’s a breathable and durable medium that shapes itself around your foot. Prices fall between the INR 800 and INR 2,700 range.
