The Bohemian House in Richmond Town is more than just a co-working space. It houses a cafe, an indie decor store, and a gorgeous outdoor event space all under its heritage roof.

What Makes It Awesome

It’s a bit tricky to find The Bohemian House (TBH), but that adds to the charm of the place. Nestled inside Hotel Woodland’s compound, the space is a heritage property that’s been transformed into a creative space for the writers, artists, designers, and anyone you can categorise as creative under the ‘creative rock’. The massive facelift that the heritage property got is something we found a little too hard to resist on the day we worked out of here. We spent part of our day exploring the space that’s been divided into a co-working space, an event space, a cafe, and an indie home decor store.

If you are a freelancer or a work from home person, pick the day pass option and work out of the absolutely gorgeous hot desk space. Pretty chandeliers hang from the ceiling, while your desk gets a bit of a tropical touch up with planters. Oh, yes, if you are wondering, it’s really Insta-worthy enough to make everyone on your feed want to switch places with you.

For larger teams, there’s dedicated space to set up shop. Plus, we love the idea of stepping out into the open-air to have a discussion or team meeting. Our favourite meeting spot? It’s the open-air space surrounded by greens and just next to the TV room. The open-air space and two enclosed activity space is for you to rent out for all sorts of creative events such as workshops, flea markets, and food festivals. They also conduct events monthly that include paint bars, wine tasting, and influencer parties. Coffee and tea are free if you work in-house, but if you are craving for a solid cup, there’s Third Wave Coffee Roasters for you to hit up.

What Could Be Better

Since the property is vegetarian-only, the cafe’s menu is all veg too. Not that we are complaining because you get typical Third Wave fare of sandwiches, sinful desserts, salads, and their single origin coffee.

Pro-Tip

Pop over to the decor store, The Pieces Boutique, which stocks up all things indie, artisan, and quirky home decor options. Also, we work out of here, so come say hi!
