The Bangalore Canteen is a tiny little cafe, nestled in the bylanes Of Koramangala 5th Block, with a double-height ceiling, maximising seating space. Dot let the size of the cafe fool you, the menu is quite elaborate. I have always loved their Hazelnut Cold Coffee, which is fabulous, this time however there was an extra sweetness that could have been avoided.
Tried the sprouts salad & the Channa Salad, very fresh and crunchy delicious. The starters were just perfect, loved every one of them, personal favourites The Goan Crumb Fried Chicken, Butter Garlic Fish, both variations of The Andhra Chicken. I sampled a few spoons of the kichadi, and the vegetarian Biriyani, and liked them more than my choice of main, that I usually order.
For mains, I stuck to my favourite on their menu, the Thai Green Curry Chicken with some rice. Though I must say, this time the curry was a tiny bit underwhelming that what I usually used to here, something that I hope they will fix it soon.
Desserts, I loved the chocolate one that they served.
A great place for a handout mostly hits with a few misses, only this time, but very clean affordable place serving delicious food & coffees, a must-visit in this part of town.
