Created by city-based couple Deepa and Vineet Chikarmane, Encrustd is a designer label that specialises in silk, and embellishments in the form of Parsi Gara embroidery and Chikankari from Lucknow. Yet, the label’s aesthetic is distinctly global. Visit their online store and you’ll see jackets, skirts, tops and dresses with embroidery and beaded embellishments that range from colourful and dense to muted and sparse, but are always elegant and never over-the-top. You’ll also see tops, slip dresses and light coats made in delightfully soft silk, and embroidered trousers and patterned trench coats that are as stylish as they are playful.
