What Makes It Awesome

Decadent, Insta-worthy and delicious, House Of Stu really knows how to whip up a good dessert. Started by sisters, Shrutika and Stuti Bhardwaj, they specialise in cakes, brownies, cookies and a few other desserts. In fact, my favourite of the entire lot was in the “other” section, in the form of cinnamon rolls and sticky toffee pudding.

Classic and fragrant, the cinnamon rolls came warm out of the oven, with just the right amount of cinnamon in the dough, and topped with a generous dose of frosting. They are rather large and will easily feed 10 if you slice them up. Same with the Sticky Toffee Pudding with a hint of dates and drizzled with toffee sauce. Yum, and an ideal breakfast if you are not counting calories.

The macarons are almost-too-pretty-to-eat, but if you have a sweet tooth, then nothing will stop you eating them. Perfect for gifting (others and yourself), this must be on Instagram before they get to your tummy. I also had the dark chocolate brownie - gooey and rich, to be paired with coffee, if you ask me. The Salted Caramel Meringue is worth skipping a meal for, while the Lindt and Black & White are decadent, must be admired, and then eaten swiftly!

There are also cupcakes, cakes and Shorties (mini versions of the large cakes), and I can vouch for the carrot cakes - a heavenly combination of spiced carrot sponge, with a cream cheese frosting. Other options include coconut caramel, pineapple chantilly, salted caramel, lemon and spiced apple. Prices range from INR 350 (for six macarons) up to INR 2,750 for the full cakes.
