It’s a pet licensing camp that will make lives of all pet parents easier. It is organised by the Knights of Cubbon Park {a group that started the Dog Park at Cubbon Park} in association with BBMP. Unlike New Delhi and Mumbai, pet licensing isn’t mandatory in Bangalore, but BBMP has recommended that parents get their pets licensed before it becomes so as to avoid any rush that will ensue once it does get mandatory. Do note that the licensing is restricted to dogs only. The event is also an initiative of the Cubbon Park Canines that is a group dedicated to pet parents and their welfare.

It’s for all pet parents and who want to ensure that they build up a database for pets across Bangalore. This registration will come in handy in a situation where the pet is lost or stolen as it will be easier to track a licensed/registered dog.
Why Should I Go For It?
Apart from avoiding the rush hour that may ensue once the mandatory registration kicks in the future, this will also be an opportunity for you to understand why the registration is required as well. For instance, if you are living in a gated community where they have illegally banned pets, your registration can curtail that. The registration will also help curb the issue of breeders and retailers as only genuine pet owners will be issued a certification. During the drive, there will be a free check-up done by the doctors from Cessna hospital as well a subsidised on-the-spot vaccination in case your pet hasn’t been vaccinated. Dogs tags with pet ID will also be provided by Glenands at a subsidised rates. You will need to bring updated vaccination records {including ARV}, government-approved ID, and registration charges. Pets need not be physically present in the camp if everything is up to date including the vaccinations.
