Make it a day trip with the fam or squad and go on a shopping spree at the Westgate Value Mall in Rajajinagar. It houses factory outlets of stores such as Lifestyle, Home Centre, and Louis Philippe.

Being A Mall Rat

Oh. My. God. {Said the way Janice does on Friends}. This is like a dream come true if you’re looking to score bargains — from decor and furniture to shirts and trousers. One look at the collection of factory outlets housed inside Westgate Value Mall, and you know that this Rajajinagar mall was built for bargain hunters. The stores are on perennial discounts and sales, and come weekends, you will see families, young couples, and anyone looking to score apparel, furniture, and homeware for a steal.

Located at the busy intersection of Dr Rajkumar Rao Road and the Link Road, Westgate Factory Outlet Mall houses seven major retail brands — Homecentre, Lifestyle, Titan, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, and More Megastore. They even have a clothing store called Easy Buy which is like your Max Fashions. These stores offer discounts from as low as 25 per cent all the way to up to 70 per cent. They also occasionally throw in Buy 1, Get 1, and flat 30 per cent sales as well. In any case, it’s 365 days of discounts at this mall, so hurrah for that.

Unlike the other malls in Bangalore, there isn’t much to see or do for entertainment. It’s all about spending your day inside stores, navigating aisles and adding anything {and everything} you fancy, to the cart. There are a couple of kiosks and eateries, but Barbeque Nation trumps the others. Head there, post-shopping, for unlimited grilled starters and buffet. Or you could check out one of our favourite restaurants in Rajajinagar, Khud’s for their butter chicken, Mughlai and North Indian cuisine.

Shopping Spree

Even if you are not living in Rajajinagar, Westgate Value Mall is worth the travel to score deals on sofa sets and home furnishing products from HomeCentre that have been on your shopping list for a while. When it comes to new clothes, you really don’t need a reason to stock up on more, right? In fact, if the whole budgeting works out for you, you can buy a new wardrobe from Home Centre to fit all the stuff that you bought from Lifestyle. Men, there’s plenty for you too, given that Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, and Van Heusen are offering deals, discounts and sale on their collection of trousers, formal wear, casual wear, and accessories.

The fact that More Megastore is there makes your trip a lot more worthwhile because these guys don’t just stock up on groceries and vegetables, but also on kitchen appliances, homewares, laundry care, luggage, and kitchenware. Expect to score deals on potatoes as well as a mixer-grinders, although we are not too sure about what you can do with five kilos of potatoes, despite them costing only INR 100. Maybe buy an air fryer and make fries? It’s on discount last time we checked.
