Head to Rakesh Kumar Pani Puri And Chaat for authentic Bengali gol gappas or phuchkas. The twenty year old chaat outlet is not to be missed if you love chaat . It has crowds of people thronging to savour a plate of chaat on any average evening. Any student/visitor to the area is sure to recommend Rakesh Kumar Pani Puri and Chaat for a good street food experience. It is also famous among its customers for its alu chaat and sev puri.

Located opposite Vijaya College, Jayanagar 4th Block, Mumbai Vadapavala is known for its Mumbaiyya style chaat. One of the first outlets to sell what people now call a ‘Bread Pakoda’ or a ‘Delhi Sandwich’, this is the ideal place for people who wish to have chaat authentic to the streets of Mumbai. Also, to those folks who have never eaten vada pav before, Mumbai Vadapavala extends a warm welcome!

Located near what used to be the Jayanagar 4th Block BDA Complex Dharwad Famous Mishra Pedha is a one-stop-shop for people who have a sweet tooth, for it sells more than traditional Dharwad sweets. Famous for its Pedhas (Mishra Pedha, the namesake, is a standard for the pedhas from, Dharwad), it houses a lot of other sweets, savouries, snacks and light-eats from all parts of India. Also, brownie points to Dharwad Famous Mishra Pedha for bringing in fresh pedhas all the way from Dharwad to the outlets.  Not very hungry, but you still feel like you could tuck into a light snack or two? Then Shenoy Stores is the place to head to. With little samosas and ambodes (a type of vada authentic to south India) that cost no more than INR 3 each, this place is a favourite among Jayanagar folks.

Needing no introduction, One has to visit Hari Super Sandwich if one is curious to know what a Hindupur variety of sandwich is. From American Corn Sandwich to Chocolate sandwich and from Dahi Chudwa to Bread Masala, almost every snack available is worth a try here. Right across is Lassi Park. Located opposite the main gate of NMKRV PU College for Women (Jayanagar 3rd Block), this place is ideal for  juices and desserts for students, residents or visitors to the locality. With more than 10 kinds of lassis on the menu and various other kinds of ice creams, faloodas, sundaes, milk shakes and more, this place is where you can end your street-food spree on a sweet note, under the shade of an old tree and recollect those little things in life that bring happiness.

For something more substantial, head to Cool Joint. It is a hangout place frequented by most people in 4th Block, Jayanagar. Located on Aurobindo Marg, it is most famous for its sandwiches and the many kinds of desserts it serves. One of the oldest street food outlets in the area, Cool Joint is definitely a place to be if you have a good appetite and would love to try more than one kind of ice cream or dessert, all at the same time.
