Kids! You gotta love them. And they’ve got all the energy in the world, don’t they? So what happens when all their toys begin to bore them and you’ve run out of stories? Well, you get exploring and take them to do these fun things that don’t cost a penny. Here’s LBB’s list of free activities to do with your kiddos in Bangalore.

Storytelling At Atta Galatta

Catch a book reading or a storytelling session at cultural space Atta Galatta. Frequently organising events for kids, some of them are not ticketed and completely free. Many children’s book authors launch their work at the venue, and this is a great chance to let the kiddos meet the minds behind their favourite stories.

Follow their Facebook Page here to keep track of their events

Colour In The Park Every Sunday

Add a pop of colour and many more shades to your Sunday morning by heading to Cubbon Park with the kiddos and joining this colouring club that’s set up every Sunday between 7am and 9am. With yoga mats, chart paper and art supplies set up on the grass, this arts and crafts nook is perfect for the kids to let their creative juices flow. Started by Kanika Gupta, a Bangalore-based designer and illustrator, the club is a way to help you unwind from your busy lives with a fun and creative activity that’s perfect to do with your kids.

Follow Kanika on her brand’s Facebook page Iktaara to know more.

Cuddle With Doggos At CUPA

If the kids are begging you for a puppy, but you just can’t swing raising a dog in your home at the moment, volunteer at CUPA with the little ones and get to cuddle their pooches for as long you want. Make sure both you and the kids get their anti-rabies shots first, just as a safety measure. The doggos are well-behaved and the ferocious ones are kept in a separate enclosure so there’s nothing to worry. You can even adopt one of their dogs from their adoption centre.

Little Free Library

Kickstart the kids reading habit by taking them to The Little Free Library at Om Pure Veg in Koramangala. A concept that started in the United States of America, how it all works is you leave a book and you take a book. A simple swap, the kids can bring in books that they’re tired off and swap them for a new one.
