What Makes It Awesome
Feel the good vibes (and comfy) in funky clothing from Funky Fusion. Perfect for your free-spirited adventures and wanderings, the brand’s clothing is akin to what you get in the shacks of Goa, or any of the hippie hotspots in the country.
Working with Indian artisans to create and source fabric with ethnic (not necessarily Indian though) prints and inspired patterns. Expect Kalamkari, Naga, Kutch, Ankara (from Turkey), Aztec and paisely. Sometimes the process used is in focus be it block printing or using Indigo or vegetable dyes (and a lot of tie and dye too). With everything from tasselled tank tops (yes, with dream catcher print), Afghan pants, flouncy shrugs to help you float around, they even have kurtas with a dash of hippie for when even sanksar can’t contain your Boho vibe. Long shrugs perfect over a bikini at the beach, or as another layer to stay warm and snug, while the short shrugs are more like funky Nehru jackets to add some pizzazz to your look. Colourful Afghan pants and palazzos come with large, chunky pockets, so if you like getting around light, these are for you! Accented by the Naga inspired print or the Kutch border, these would work well with plan crop or tank tops.
Find them at pop-ups, flea markets and travelling bazaars (keeping alive the gypsy spirit), they have accessories like scarves and hats, bags, and jewellery, and yoga mat holders that you don't think you need but you do. You can shop online, visit their conceptual boutique on St. John’s Road, or pop up at Safina Plaza.
The have periodic clearance sales with sweet deals on some of their last pieces.
