What do all north Indians in Bangalore miss eating in winters? 'Sarson ka Saag' with 'Makki ki Roti' and some rich 'Gajar Halwa'. Are you craving for that too?
Well, we have found just the perfect place for the yummiest Sarson saag in Namma Bengaluru! Head to the nearest Dhaba Est 1986 outlet (there are only two in the city) and order some right away. The best 'Saag' with the perfect blend of ingredients required for this dish. Served hot with crisp and hot 'Makki rotis', white butter and some 'gud' (jaggery cubes). This one, in particular, is a seasonal dish but they have some amazing north Indian dishes apart from this. You can try their Balti mutton which is amazing and even the Butter Chicken which is delicious.
The decor of the restaurant is very kitschy. They have tried to give everything a typical traditional look and feel. Everything reminds one of the numerous 'dhabas' dotting various highways all across North India. One good exception thankfully is the seating which is comfortable and nice (unlike in actual 'Dhabas')
The 'Gajar ka Halwa' is nice too, and not like the 'carrot halwa' you get everywhere else. Overall its a soul-satisfying meal for winters. Grab a friend and head here for a delightful meal soon since the serving portions are big so you'll definitely need some help! 😉
