Ten-Second Takeaway

The Sheraton is spreading the Christmas cheer this year with a 24 foot gingerbread castle decked out completely with candy!

Gingerbread Gilt

Amongst the many Christmas traditions celebrated, none are more tastier than building a gingerbread house, decorating it with the utmost care with icing and candy, and then gobbling it all down! The Sheraton Hotel has taken it a step forward this year, and built a giant gingerbread castle, complete with turrets. Standing at a whopping 24 feet, the gingerbread castle was built over the span of two weeks and consists of three weeks worth of gingerbread baking and 64 kilos of candy {we’re just as shocked as you!}.

Fairytale Come True

Since it’s made of actual gingerbread and candy, it means this castle is partially eatable, save for the plywood used to keep it sturdy — it’s like Hansel and Gretel, minus the evil child-eating witch! The turrets of this dream castle are decked out entirely in candy, and topped with light-up stars. It’s a Christmas miracle come true, and it’s a great place to take the family {especially ones with kids, just make sure they don’t try to sneak a nibble}.
