Conceptualised by fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani, and brought to life by ace architect Sameep Padora, The Glass Villa is a gorgeous, luxury property in Aldona. The boutique space, owned by the folks of The Rug Republic, a leading home fashion, founded by Aditya Gupta, is a dream come true!
Not too far from your tourist destinations of Anjuna, Baga and Calangute, it’s hidden enough to leave you peaceful and amidst the backwaters. The whole space is made so that you get to enjoy the surrounding without being restricted. So, by name and by nature, The Glass Villa has lots of glass, complemented by wood and concrete to keep things natural and minimalist. All of the four bedrooms have two faces with floor to ceiling glass look out onto the fields and backwaters, while sipping on hot coffee or chilled Sangrias (it’s Goa, you can have cocktails for breakfast!).
There’s also got a sunken courtyard, a massive wooden deck and a pool that you will not want to get out of, all day long! While you can book the whole space out, there’s enough room to give you privacy even if strangers have checked in with you. Post those Sangrias and lounge in the pool, trust us, you’ll be planning another Goa trip with those same folks before the sun sets! When you’re not chilling at the villa, hit up the nearby villages for a quick bicycle ride or go bobbing down the Moira backwaters in a kayak. Then head back for some amazing food - French cuisine and sushi are highly recommended.
