The lip smacking butter chicken, the gravy-licious ‘Daal Makhani’ or ‘Paneer’ butter masala; If it’s authentic north Indian food that you love, Koramangala now has the perfect place for you! Dhaba Est 1986 Delhi has just opened a brand new outlet in Kormangala! With authentic recipes by in-house chefs at The Claridges Hotel New Delhi, ‘Dhaba’ is the preferred ‘Punjabi’ food destination. Be it Veg or Non Veg dishes, the menu covers a range of items divided into three drooling parts - Tawa, Tandoor and ‘Patila’ (The cooking vessel); including typical rustic dishes such as Kanastari Baingan (Baingan ka Bharta served in a copper canister), Dhaba Tandoori Chicken and Balti Meat (their signature dish).

This is their newest branch in Bengaluru and perhaps the only one with a vast open air seating. Given the covid situation, it’s best to have access to open air dining and that’s what you get here. Indoor dining space is also available near the Bar area. Depending upon your preference you can choose your table. The highlight off course is the food which is phenomenal to say the least.

We recommend starting with a chilled glass of one of their in house special drinks such as ‘Aam Panna’, ‘Kala Khatha’ or ‘Shikanji’ These are the perfect appetisers to begin the culinary experience at ‘Dhaba’. Vegetarians should not miss the ‘Paneer tikka’ here since it’s one of the best preparations. For non vegetarians the ‘Amritsari Fish’ is perhaps one of the best variants you may have tasted ever before. The kababs are as delectable as the chicken tikkas. They even have a ‘charcoal tikka’ which is amazing!

The appetisers will set the tone for the main course for sure and if you are a true dilli wallah when it comes to food, need we say ‘Butter Chicken’ is a must have!! The ‘Balti Chicken’ is their signature dish and for mutton lovers, this comes highly recommended. Vegetarians can feast on ‘Daal Dhaba’ which is an authentic ‘daal Makhani’ variant. The ‘Amritsari Chhole’ also is a delicious main course dish here. We would also like to recommend the ‘Paneer Makhani’ coz how can Punjabi food be devoid of creamy paneer ?!! Skip the classic Tandoori rotis and Naans to try the signature ‘Dhabe di Roti’. It’s leavened Dhaba special bread cooked in tandoor.

You can also try seasonal specials like ‘Sarson ka Saag’ and ‘Makki Ki Roti’ which is the winter special addition to their menu. But leave space for deserts! This place serves the most delectable , melt in the mouth ‘Gulab Jamuns’ we have had in Bangalore! So if you have a sweet tooth you will love the range of desserts too!
Price: A Meal for two will cost a minimum 1200 INR.

Apart from these dishes we recommended there’s a vast menu for you to explore and find your own favourites. Wink Wink!!
The Dhaba also delivers via Zomato and Dunzo. So order away if you are not venturing out to dine these days.
