The package includes a welcome drink, breakfast, lunch, dinner and high tea, a visit to the Biligiri Rangaswamy temple situated on top of the hill, a 16 kilometre drive through the jungle for possible animal sightings, a drive to the sunset point, a cultural performance by the tribal people of the region, bonfire, a morning nature walk and bird watching, zip-lining and other rope activities. All this for the dirt cheap amount you pay for your room!
The food is excellent and prepared with the use of natural ingredients. The sprawling ranch is absolutely beautiful and a green treat to the eyes! The cottages are clean and pretty! The people are helpful and accommodating.
At 7.30pm, the resort organises a cultural performance by the Soliga tribes who occupy the region. The performance is very interesting and the stories behind each of their performances depicting their lifestyle and culture took me by awe. Oh, and these tribals bring out the dancer in you by encouraging you to join in their dance! So much fun!
They also have an Ayurvedic and massage centre where you can treat yourself to a massage. This is, however, not included in your package. You can also opt for the government safari at an additonal cost of INR 400 per person, and the resort guys will be more than happy to drive you to the starting point.
Given a choice, I'd extend my stay here and spend another day doing nothing, listening to the continuous music of the jungle, probably curling up with a book and a cup of hot tea in my hands!
