Being born and brought up in Bangalore, I have a pretty long list of favourite dosas in the city. When asked which tops the list, after a bit of thinking, I say "Number one has got to be Upahara Darshini!". They've maintained consistency for years now and I'll bet I can recognise a UD Masala dosa from anywhere in the world! The dosas are a perfect mix of crisp on the outside - soft on the inside, and the potato 'palya' they use is the single best I've eaten. Apart from the dosa, my personal favourite at UD is the pulav available only on Sunday mornings. Don't be too late if you don't wanna miss the pulav. The pulav is white and you'd expect it to be bland and boring but it's just so creamy and heavenly. I love trying to guess their secret ingredient but I can never be too sure. So all you rice lovers, you know your order for this Sunday morning at UD. Non-lovers won't regret ordering the to-die-for dosa. Have a great meal!
